Rolling community grants for not-for-profit organisations whose work aligns with Rātā Foundation priorities.

Funding

No programme-wide hard minimum or maximum is published. Small Grant requests are $20,000 or less; larger requests are assessed on longer indicative timeframes.

Not-for-profit organisation, Charity, Incorporated society, Educational institution, Church administration organisation, Unincorporated group through an umbrella organisation

  • Benefit must be in Rātā Foundation's Canterbury, Nelson, Marlborough or Chatham Islands funding areas, unless an outside organisation can show benefit to those areas.
  • Applications are accepted at any time.
  • One grant may be received per Rātā Foundation financial year.
  • A board or committee resolution, financial statements or performance report, and bank evidence are required.

Relevant locations include Canterbury, Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough, Kaikōura, Chatham Islands.
