What it supports
Subsidises rural junior sport team travel to regular local competitions through participating territorial authorities.
Funding
Sport NZ does not publish a programme-wide minimum or per-team maximum. Participating territorial authorities administer applications and determine funding using the published criteria and any additional local criteria.

Who can apply
Rural sport club teams, Rural school club teams
- • Open to: Rural sport club teams
- • Open to: Rural school club teams
- • Applicant team must be a rural sport club team or rural school club team within a participating territorial authority.
- • Team members must be aged 5 to 18 years.
- • Competition must be a regular local competition outside school time.
- • Apply through the local participating territorial authority; local authorities administer the fund and may apply additional local criteria.
- • Successful applicants must provide proof of purchases and receipts to their local territorial authority.
