What it supports
One-off funding for Enviroschools projects that enhance the environment or provide environmental education in the Waikato region.
Funding
Up to 5,000 NZD is published for the general grant. This is a hard published cap for the general-grant pathway; applications are considered individually on merit and prior council funding can influence decisions.

Who can apply
Enviroschools actively involved in the programme and supported by a facilitator
- • Open to: Enviroschools actively involved in the programme and supported by a facilitator
- • Applicant must be an Enviroschool in the Waikato region, actively involved in the programme and receiving ongoing facilitator support.
- • Proposal must be a new initiative, new to the area, or extend an existing project.
- • Demonstrate Enviroschools Guiding Principles alignment, facilitator consultation, community support and partnership, sustainability, and delivery skills/experience.
- • Project must be designed to become self-supporting without ongoing Council funding.
- • Report within 12 months through SmartyGrants; include financial reporting and invoices/receipts as evidence of expenditure.
